When bean farmer and entrepreneur Ron Nicklaus saw that business owners needed a banking partner who understood their challenges, he helped create one. What began in Rothschild, Wisconsin, has grown into a nationally recognized financial institution that remains family-owned today.

After building a successful agricultural business, the Nicklaus family purchased River Valley State Bank. Their vision was simple: create opportunities for others by becoming the kind of banking partner they once needed themselves.
River Valley State Bank expanded beyond its original community, serving individuals and businesses across Wisconsin while maintaining its commitment to relationship-based banking and local decision-making.
